Tech Lead
HeartStamp (US)
HeartStamp is an AI-powered greeting-card platform for creating, personalizing and sending printed and digital cards. I lead a cross-functional engineering team of approximately eight developers and own technical direction across the product stack.
- Architected a distributed bulk card-creation pipeline spanning FastAPI backend, orchestration and inference services, using Redis and Celery for fair concurrency, idempotent jobs, cancellation and failure recovery, with WebSockets for real-time admin progress.
- Built advanced FastAPI APIs and LangGraph workflows, including semantic search and RAG capabilities with multimodal embeddings, PostgreSQL/PGVector, hybrid retrieval, evaluation tooling and safe, feature-gated data backfills.
- Led Next.js architecture for high-traffic storefront and product experiences, introducing ISR/SSR, server-side caching and prefetching, plus technical SEO through dynamic metadata, canonical URLs, sitemaps and environment-aware robots rules.
- Designed the backend and WebKit bridge architecture for the iOS app, sharing authenticated editor and digital-card experiences through native WebViews; implemented StoreKit purchase verification and order flows alongside Stripe, Apple Pay and Google Pay integrations.
- Owned containerized delivery across Docker and AWS ECS/ECR/S3, and evolved GitHub Actions CI/CD with multi-environment deployments, database migration gates, integration/E2E testing, observability and post-deploy checks.
- Established engineering practices for a growing team, including architecture reviews, code quality and security controls, RBAC, feature flags, release processes and operational ownership as the product moved from stealth to public launch.
